This Privacy Policy explains what information PinPoint (Van Maanen Ventures LLC) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. In short: your team's data is your team's; we use it only to run PinPoint for you; we never sell it.
1. Information we collect
From coaches: name, email, team or school name, and sign-in details (including Google sign-in if you use it).
About athletes, entered by coaches (or by athletes, if athlete sign-in is offered for your team): name, grade, weight class, weigh-ins and weight history, certified weight, schedule, match results and stats, and coach notes.
When you connect other services: if you import from MatBoss or Trackwrestling files, or send weigh-ins to Google Sheets, we process that data to complete what you asked.
Automatically: basic technical data such as device and browser type, pages used, and error logs, to keep the Service working and secure. We don't use advertising or analytics trackers.
2. How we use it
- To run the Service: show the weigh-in board, history, forecasts and Pro features to your team.
- To answer your questions in Pro's Assistant Coach, using only your team's data.
- To support you, send account and service emails, and keep PinPoint secure.
- To improve PinPoint, using aggregated or de-identified information.
We do not sell personal information, use athlete data for advertising, or build profiles of athletes for anyone outside the team.
3. Who can see what
- Coaches on a team see that team's data.
- Athletes, if athlete sign-in is offered for your team, see only their own status and history, not other athletes'.
- No other team can see your team's data.
- PinPoint staff access data only when needed to support you or keep the Service running.
4. Service providers
We use trusted providers that process data on our behalf, only to run PinPoint, under their own security and privacy commitments:
- Hosting and content delivery: Cloudflare
- Database and sign-in: Supabase
- AI features (Pro): Anthropic, which processes questions and team data to generate answers and, under its commercial terms, does not use that data to train its models
- Google (sign-in and Google Sheets export, only when you choose it)
- Payments: Stripe (we never see or store full card numbers)
- Email delivery: Supabase (sign-in codes) and Google (email from our team)
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of anyone using the Service. If Van Maanen Ventures LLC is ever sold or merged, this policy will continue to apply to your data, and we'll tell you first.
5. Children's privacy
PinPoint is built for high school and college programs. It is not directed to children under 13, and coaches must not enter information about athletes under 13. If we learn we have information about a child under 13, we will delete it. Parents can contact us at [email protected].
6. Students and schools
When a school uses PinPoint, we act on the school's behalf, use student information only for the school's purposes, and follow the school's direction on access and deletion. We will review and sign a school or district data privacy agreement on request.
7. Keeping and deleting data
We keep team data while the team is active. A coach can ask us to delete the team at any time, and we will delete it from active systems within 30 days, and backup copies are removed within a further 30 days. An athlete or parent can ask the coach, or us, to correct or remove the athlete's information.
8. Security
We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections, access controls that keep each team's data separate, and limited staff access. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we will notify you as the law requires.
9. Your choices and rights
You can view, export, correct or delete your information, or close your account, by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state law, and we will honor them.
10. Changes
If we change this policy in a material way, we will notify coaches before the change takes effect.
